A fantastic turnout at our 2021 Summer School
Harper Green Summer School 2021 was a fantastic success, with over 160 students throughout the week.
We invited all our new Year 7 students to participate in our Summer School during the summer holidays to give them the opportunity to form new friendships before starting at Harper Green School in September 2021. It also gave us the chance to help break down barriers to have a smooth transition from primary to secondary school.
Students attended in form groups and spent their day working with their new form, Form Tutor and Head of Year. Students had the opportunity to engage, listen and respect during different activities, focusing on key skills needed at secondary school, including resilience and teamwork. Students also learnt about our We are HARPER values and House System and had the opportunity to navigate the school site whilst other students were not present, finding important locations such as the year team area, restaurants and toilets.
