Our House System
At Harper Green School, our House System plays an important role in school life, encouraging students to get involved, work together and take pride in their achievements. It helps to build a strong sense of community while promoting teamwork, leadership, healthy competition and positive behaviour.
Every student is allocated to one of our four Houses when they join Harper Green and remains a member of that House throughout their time at the school. Our Houses are named after inspirational individuals whose achievements, determination and values continue to inspire people around the world.
- Attenborough House
- Malala House
- Austen House
- Mandela House
How Does the House System Work?
Students earn House Points throughout the year by demonstrating our We Are Harper values, producing excellent work, showing positive behaviour and participating in school life.
Regular House competitions take place across a wide range of subjects and activities, giving every student the opportunity to contribute to their House. Competitions include sport, performing arts, creative writing, photography, baking and much more.
Our annual House Day sees students spend the day taking part in a variety of exciting activities, challenges and competitions, helping to strengthen teamwork and House spirit across the school.
House Champions are celebrated at the end of each term, with the overall winning House announced during our end-of-year rewards assemblies.
