All staff at Harper Green School are dedicated to providing students with a wide range of clubs and sporting activities during lunchtimes and after school.

We also offer a range of outings and residential trips to provide a broad mixture of new skills and experiences, along with fun and enjoyment.
As well as providing fun and enjoyment, there are a range of extra-curricular activities on offer that equip our young people with the skills and experiences needed to become mature, responsible young adults.
Harper Green offers a wide range of activities before, during and after school. Badminton is very popular in the mornings as well as at lunchtime. Table tennis is also offered after school for all year groups with a coach from outside school who develops their skills further.
The Young Enterprise Scheme
The Young Enterprise Scheme is designed to provide a sense of the business environment through a real commercial project. The School Council, the school magazine, prefect and reception duties provide real opportunities for pupils to take on positions of responsibility in the school – all providing invaluable experience for our pupils.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
At Harper Green School, we are proud to offer an outstanding Duke of Edinburgh Award programme that help students develop important life skills, resilience and leadership qualities. Through challenging activities, from outdoor expeditions and volunteering to personal skill-building, students grow in confidence and discover more about themselves, all within a supportive community.
With dedicated guidance from our experienced staff, students can pursue the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, gaining valuable experiences that complement their academic and personal development. All Year 9 students complete the Bronze Award as part of their studies, with opportunities to progress to Silver and Gold in later years.
We believe the Duke of Edinburgh Award is a vital part of helping our students become well-rounded, confident and capable young people ready to take on the world.
